Publisher: Ubisoft
Platform: XBLA, PSN, PC
Price: $14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points)

Blood Dragon is a stand-alone, downloadable expansion to the critically acclaimed “Far Cry 3″. You don’t have to own Far Cry 3, or even have any prior knowledge of the Far Cry series. Blood Dragon is a self-contained, retro futuristic sibling to the franchise, & it’s full of insanity. Is it worth the $15 price tag though? Hit the jump & I’ll gladly inform you of what I thought about this love letter to 80′s action films. Continue reading

Mass Effect 3: The Citadel DLC Review

Mass-Effect-3-Citadel-Cover

Game: Mass Effect 3

DLC: Single Player DLC #4 – The Citadel

Price: 1200 MSP ($15)

Achievements: Yes – 9 for 250GS

The fourth Single Player DLC for Mass Effect 3, The Citadel, was released at the beginning of March, specifically March 5, 2013. The Citadel is the long awaited last single player DLC for Mass Effect, and is so large, that the download had to be split into two seperate files. So, with this being a fairly large download, and all of the buzz around it being Mass Effect’s last single player DLC installment, we wanted to know if it stayed true and lived up to its hype.

The premise of the the Citadel DLC is that Commander Shepard and his Normandy crew are getting a break from action while the Normandy undergoes repairs at the Citadel. However, their shore leave is quickly cut short and there is no time to relax as Shepard is once again the target of an attack. The Citadel promises a new enemy that he has never faced before, as well as the return of some familiar faces.

So, without further ado, let’s jump into it!

ilomilo plus – Windows 8 Xbox LIVE Review

ilomilopluswin8_header

Game: ilomilo plus

Price: $4.99

Developer/Publisher: Southend Interactive/Microsoft Game Studios

Platforms: Windows 8 & RT/Pro Tablet Devices

Supports USB Xbox360 Controller!

Ilomilo Plus was released on November 30th, 2012 for Windows 8 and is an Xbox LIVE title, meaning it holds achievements and leaderboard functionality! While this game isn’t new, a lot of people have been continuing to pick up Windows 8 for their PC, or have been picking up Windows RT/Pro, so I figured it would be nice to review this title for everyone!

Background: The game focuses around two friends, ilo and milo, who always seem to find themselves seperated throughout their journeys. Now, this is a real bummer and pretty sad, so they want to reunite! The premise of the game is that on any specific level you can switch back and forth between each character in an attempt to solve the puzzles presented to you to “meet up”. Once you meet up, the level is completed! Throughout each level you can also try and collect collectible media which is viewable on the main menu, and “safkas” which are cute little creatures that help you unlock bonus levels. The rest will be explored in the review.

So, without further adue, here is our review (after the break)!

Dead Space 3 – Review

The long awaited Dead Space 3 has arrived. I know many people are both anxious and hesitant to play this Sci-Fi epic. Long time fans are worried that the inclusion of Co-Op has somehow degraded the horror, atmosphere, and tension of the traditional Single-Player experience. Some are even frightened that the addition and tweaks of some gameplay mechanics have made Dead Space more action focused.

So if you’re ready for me to leak my opinions and thoughts all over your browser, click the jump and read what I, as a huge Dead Space fanatic, had to say about Isaac Clarke’s latest adventure. Continue reading

DmC: Devil May Cry – Review

Genre: Action

Developer: Ninja Theory

Publisher: Capcom

Rating: M (Mature)

And so the rebirth of Devil May Cry (or DmC as some have took to calling the reboot) has finally
arrived. As a huge Devil May Cry fan, I’ve been anxious to check this title out. If the hive mind that is the internet is any indication, DmC is sure to be a polarizing game amongst veteran Devil May Cry players regardless of the reception.

Some will ultimately like Ninja Theory’s latest effort, some may not. But if you find yourself on middle ground and are unsure if you should spend your time or money to find out, click the jump to get my opinions on it. Continue reading
